Before I was appointed Deputy Health Commissioner for the State of Vermont, I was an instructor at the Vermont Police Academy in the subjects of Search and Seizure, Confessions, Rules of Evidence, Affidavit Writing, and Crimes. I taught courses in criminal justice through CCV and Champlain College. I served on the Board of Directors of the Franklin-Grand Isle Mental Health Agency for several years, as President of the Franklin-Grand Isle Counties Bar Association, and served on the Diversion Board. I have served as Acting Judge on several occasions, and regularly donated my time in free legal clinics.
This is a photo taken at a gathering in North Hero Friday evening. Here I am, reminiscing with an old friend and former student, the former Sheriff of Grand Isle County, John Lawrence.
